Online Submission

Literasiana : Journal of Library Information Literacy and Education uses an online submission system based on the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. All authors must submit their manuscripts electronically through the journal website. No submissions via email or postal mail will be accepted.

A. Registration (New Users)

Before submitting a manuscript, authors who are not yet registered must create an account.

Steps to Register:

1 Go to the journal website
2 Click "Register" or "Register New Account" in the top-right corner
3 Fill in the registration form (username, password, name, email, affiliation, country)
4 Check your email for a confirmation link
5 Click the confirmation link to activate your account
6 Log in with your username and password

Field Recommendation
Username Use your full name without spaces (e.g., lailazulfa)
Email Use an institutional email (e.g., @unwahas.ac.id) if possible
Affiliation Write your complete institution name (university, faculty, department)
ORCID ID Highly recommended to add your 16-digit ORCID ID

B. Submission Process (5 Steps)

After logging in, follow these five steps to submit your manuscript:

Step 1: Start

  • Click "New Submission" in the dashboard

  • Confirm that your submission meets all requirements:

    • Manuscript is original and unpublished

    • Manuscript is not under review elsewhere

    • Format follows author guidelines

    • Similarity index is below 20%

    • References use APA 7th style

    • Reference manager has been used

  • Choose the journal section (e.g., Original Research Article, Literature Review)

  • Check the submission checklist

  • Read and agree to the copyright notice

  • Click "Save and Continue"

Step 2: Upload Submission

File format Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)
File size Maximum 5 MB
File naming Use the format: Title_Manuscript.docx (e.g., Literacy_Education_Manuscript.docx)
  • Click "Upload File"

  • Select the manuscript file from your computer

  • Choose the file type: "Article Text"

  • Click "Continue" and then "Save and Continue"

Step 3: Enter Metadata

Enter the following information:

Title Full title of the manuscript (maximum 15 words)
Subtitle If applicable
Abstract Copy and paste the abstract (maximum 250 words)
Keywords 3–5 keywords separated by semicolons (;)
Author(s) Add all authors (name, affiliation, ORCID, email)
Corresponding author Identify the corresponding author
References Not required in this step (included in manuscript file)
Funding If applicable, state the funding source and grant number

How to Add Multiple Authors:

  • After adding the first author, click "Add Author"

  • Repeat for each co-author

  • Ensure the order of authors is correct

  • The corresponding author must be marked with an asterisk (*)

  • Click "Save and Continue"

Step 4: Upload Supplementary Files

Upload the following supplementary files:

  • Click "Upload File" for each supplementary file

  • Choose the appropriate file type from the dropdown menu

  • Click "Continue" after each upload

  • Click "Save and Continue" after all files are uploaded

Step 5: Confirmation

  • Review all entered information

  • Check the submission summary

  • Make corrections if necessary

  • Confirm that all co-authors have approved the submission

  • Click "Finish Submission"


C. After Submission

Once you complete the submission, you will:

  1. Receive an email acknowledgment within 24 hours

  2. Receive a submission ID (e.g., LITERA-2025-001)

  3. Track your submission status by logging into your account

Checking Editor is conducting initial screening
Review Manuscript is in peer review
Revision Required Author must revise the manuscript
Resubmit for Review Revised version is being re-reviewed
Accepted Manuscript has been accepted for publication
Copyediting Manuscript is being copyedited
Production Manuscript is being formatted for publication
Published Manuscript has been published online

5 View reviewer comments, editor decisions, and revision files

E. How to Submit a Revised Manuscript

When you receive a "Revision Required" decision:

1 Log in to your account
2 Go to "Submissions" → "Active"
3 Click the submission title
4 Click "Upload Revised Version"
5 Upload the revised manuscript (Word file)
6 Upload a "Response to Reviewers" letter (explaining how you addressed each comment)
7 Click "Save and Continue"
8 Confirm and finish

Important:

  • Submit your revision within the specified deadline (usually 2–4 weeks)

  • If you need an extension, email the editor before the deadline

  • Failure to submit on time may result in withdrawal of your manuscript
