The Journal of Tawasut ensures the long-term preservation and accessibility of its published content through participation in the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) and the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system.
The journal utilizes the PKP PN as a preservation service specifically designed for journals using Open Journal Systems (OJS). This system provides decentralized and secure archiving, ensuring that all published articles are safely stored and remain accessible even in the event of technical failure or data loss on the journal’s primary server.
In addition, the journal supports the LOCKSS system, which allows participating libraries to collect, preserve, and provide access to journal content. Through LOCKSS, multiple copies of the journal’s content are distributed across a network of geographically dispersed nodes, ensuring redundancy and long-term digital preservation.
This archiving strategy guarantees that all articles published in the Journal of Tawasut will remain permanently accessible, secure, and preserved in accordance with international standards for digital scholarly publishing.
