Peer Review Process

Every manuscript submitted to Majalah Ilmiah Momentum undergoes a structured peer-review process designed to ensure the academic quality and integrity of published works. The total processing time from submission to publication is approximately 3 months.

The review process consists of the following stages:

  1. Initial Editorial Screening (Week 1–2):
The editorial team evaluates the manuscript for scope alignment, formatting compliance, and basic scientific merit. Submissions that pass this stage are forwarded for peer review.

  2. Double-Blind Peer Review (Week 3–8):
Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers under a double-blind review system, in which both the reviewers and authors remain anonymous. Reviewers assess the originality, methodological rigor, clarity, and contribution to the field.

  3. Editorial Decision and Revisions (Week 9–10):
Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editor may issue one of the following decisions: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject. Authors are given time to revise and resubmit, if applicable.

  4. Final Decision and Proofreading (Week 11–12):
After resubmission, revised manuscripts are re-evaluated. Once accepted, the article undergoes final proofreading and formatting before publication.

  5. Publication (End of Month 3):
Accepted articles are published in the upcoming issue.

Majalah Ilmiah Momentum publishes two issues per year, in April and October. Articles accepted after the editorial cutoff may be scheduled for the following issue.
