Author Guidelines

Majalah Ilmiah Momentum is open to the scientific community in the field of mechanical engineering. The proposed manuscript must be the result of research and or development that has never been published in another publication. The maximum length of a paper is 6 single-spaced pages, justify, Times New Roman font size 11 point regular and two-column writing format. The paper uses A4 size paper (210 x 297 mm) with the left, top, right, and bottom borders written, respectively, 30 mm, 25 mm, 25 mm, and 25 mm. The head and foot boundaries of the writing area (header and footer) are 15 mm and 13 mm. The distance between the columns is 5 mm. The beginning of the paragraph is written indented 10 mm. All foreign terms are italicized (italic form). Papers are arranged in order of topic titles: Introduction, Methodology, Results and Discussion,Conclusion, Acknowledgments (if any), Notation List (if any) and Bibliography. The format for writing the title of the topic is 11 pt font size, bold, all capital letters, and sequentially numbered written left aligned. Example: 3. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION. The format for writing the title of the sub-topic of discussion is 11 pt, bold, capital letters at the beginning of the word, and sequentially numbered. Example:3.1 Simulation Results. The format for writing sub-topic titles is the same as writing sub-topic titles. Example: 3.1.1 Effect of Temperature Variations. At the end of the topic section, sub-topics, and subtopics are spaced one space before writing the next discussion. There is no space between the title of the topic, sub-topic and subtopic title and the text below it.

WRITING INSTRUCTIONS

Equations: Write equations using 11-point size by writing the Equation Number which is placed in brackets at the end of the right margin. Writing equations is spaced one space before and after writing. A=…þr²               (1)

Tables:Table name written above the table on the left side and numbered sequence in bold(bold). Between the Table Name and table there is no space. The table is made cantered, consisting of only three horizontal lines with the provision that one line is above the writing of the head of the table and one line is flanking it, and another line is at the very bottom of the table contents. Between the table and the text below it is spaced one space, as well as before.

Image: The image is centered with a Number Sort and Image Name is placed below the image. The distance between the image and the image name is one space, as well as the distance between the image name and the text below it. Writing the Image Name in bold and centered letters. If the table or figure is taken from another source or is not the result of the author's research, the source of the citation must be included.

Citations : system for writing excerpts / citations of a manuscript or literature uses the Harvard system. The source of the literature written in the description only consists of the author's last name and the year of publication. Example: Many studies have been carried out to classify wear, including using wear maps (Hsu and Shen, 2005 for one or two authors; Adachi et al., 1997 for more than two authors). According to Pasaribu (2005), wear on ceramics … and so on. The source of the citation is written without a serial number, left aligned on the first line and indented by 10 mm for the second line and so on. There are no spaces between citation sources. The following are 7 examples of writing a bibliography written in alphabetical order and sequentially are examples for: (1) writing scientific journals/proceedings, (2) websites, (3) textbooks, (4) handbooks, (5) papers in a chapter book, (6) a dissertation, and (7) a patent.
