Author Guidelines

Majalah Ilmiah Momentum

Majalah Ilmiah Momentum is an open-access, peer-reviewed scientific journal dedicated to advancing knowledge in the field of mechanical engineering. The journal publishes high-quality original research and development studies that have not been previously published or are not under consideration elsewhere.

1. General Format

  • Maximum length: 6 pages, single-spaced

  • Font: Times New Roman, 11 pt

  • Layout: Single column

  • Paper size: A4 (210 × 297 mm)

Margins:

  • Left: 30 mm

  • Top: 25 mm

  • Right: 25 mm

  • Bottom: 25 mm

Header & Footer:

  • Header: 15 mm

  • Footer: 13 mm

  • Paragraph indentation: 10 mm

  • Foreign terms must be written in italic

2. Manuscript Structure

The manuscript must be arranged as follows:

  1. Introduction

  2. Methodology

  3. Results and Discussion

  4. Conclusion

  5. Acknowledgments (optional)

  6. Notation List (optional)

  7. References

3. Section Formatting

Main Section

  • 11 pt, bold, uppercase

  • Numbered, left-aligned

  • Example:

Subsection

  • 11 pt, bold, Title Case

  • Example:
    3.1 Simulation Results

Sub-subsection

  • Same format

  • Example:
    3.1.1 Effect of Temperature Variations

Spacing rules:

  • No space between title and paragraph below

  • One line spacing between sections

4. Equations

  • Font size: 11 pt

  • Equation numbers aligned right in parentheses

  • One line spacing before and after equations

5. Tables

  • Title placed above the table, left-aligned

  • Title in bold

  • Table centered

  • Only three horizontal lines allowed

  • No space between title and table

  • One line spacing before and after

6. Figures

  • Figures must be centered

  • Caption placed below figure, centered and bold

  • Number sequentially

    • Between caption and text

  • Include citation if figure is sourced

7. Citations

This journal uses the Harvard referencing system.

8. References

  • Arranged alphabetically

  • Use hanging indent (10 mm)

  • No numbering
