SCREENING OF PLAGIARISM

Policy of Screening for Plagiarism

To maintain the integrity and originality of the scientific content published in the International Journal of Management, Business and Social Sciences (IJMBS), every manuscript submitted to the journal is screened for plagiarism before entering the peer review process.

  1. Plagiarism Check
All manuscripts are checked using plagiarism detection software (such as Turnitin or iThenticate) to ensure the originality of the work. The similarity index must not exceed 20% in total, excluding properly cited references, quotations, and bibliography.
  2. Editorial Evaluation
The Editorial Team evaluates the similarity report carefully. Manuscripts with a similarity index higher than 20%will be returned to the author for revision or rejected depending on the extent and nature of the overlap.
  3. Author Responsibility
Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts are original, properly cited, and free from any form of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism or redundant publication.
  4. Post-Publication Actions
If plagiarism is detected after publication, the journal reserves the right to retract or remove the article from the database and take necessary actions according to the journal’s ethical policy and COPE guidelines.
