MAGISTRA: Media Pengembangan Ilmu Pendidikan Dasar dan Keislaman — ISSN 2087-2305 (print media) ISSN 2615-2282 (online media) is published by Pusat Kajian dan Pengembangan Ilmu-ilmu Keislaman (PKPI2), Faculty of Islamic Religion, Universitas Wahid Hasyim, Semarang. This journal publishes research articles related to the study of basic education in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah/Elementary Schools. Journal topics include Islamic education in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah/Elementary Schools such as madrasa leadership, learning strategies, curriculum, learning evaluation, inclusive education, culture-based education.

MAGISTRA: Media for the Development of Basic and Islamic Education Sciences was published in the context of developing studies on basic education sciences (Madrasah Ibtidaiyah and Elementary Schools) and Islamic studies.

This journal has been accredited on SINTA-4 and indexed in several indexing institutions including Google Schoolar, Moraref, Issuu, Garuda, Dimensions, etc.

Language Policy Update – Effective from Vol. 16 No. 1 (June 2025)

Starting from Volume 16 Number 1 (June 2025), all articles published in MAGISTRA: Media Pengembangan Ilmu Pendidikan Dasar dan Keislaman must be written entirely in English.

This policy supports our goal of increasing international visibility, indexing opportunities, and global readership.

Authors are encouraged to ensure their manuscripts follow this requirement before submission.

Template Update — Effective December 2025 (Vol. 16 No. 2)

Starting from Vol. 16 No. 2 (December 2025), MAGISTRA applies a new article template with the following updates:

No phone numbers in author info
Full English manuscript required (except abstract)
Dates simplified to "Available Online" only
Minimum 10 pages per article
At least 1 table or figure required
Minimum 30 references, with 75% from recent sources (last 5–7 years)
