Author Guidelines for Jurnal Ilmiah Cendekia Eksakta (JICE)
- Language & Length
- Articles must be written in English or Bahasa Indonesia with clear academic language.
- Originality & Ethics
- Submissions must be original, unpublished work and not under review elsewhere.
- Plagiarism check: Maximum 20% similarity (excluding references and quoted text) via Turnitin/iThenticate.
- Ethical compliance:
- Human/animal studies require ethical approval (including approval number).
- Conflicts of interest must be declared.
- Follows COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.
- Manuscript Structure
- Title Page
- Title: Concise (max 15 words), ALL CAPS, bold, 14pt.
- Authors: Full names (no titles), affiliations (institution, country), and corresponding author email (marked with *).
- Abstract: Structured (Objectives, Methods, Results, Conclusion), 200–250 words, bilingual for Indonesian papers.
- Keywords: 5–7 terms, alphabetical order.
- Main Text (IMRaD Format)
- Introduction
- Background, research gap, objectives.
- Cite ≥10 recent references (last 5 years preferred).
- Methods
- Detailed methodology (reproducible).
- For experiments: Include equipment, protocols, and statistical analysis.
- Results & Discussion
- Present findings clearly (use subheadings).
- Compare with prior studies.
- Conclusion
- Summary + research implications.
- Avoid redundant statements.
- Additional Sections
- Acknowledgments: Funding sources, contributors.
- References: Minimum 20 references (80% from journals, 2019–2024).
- Appendices (if applicable): Raw data, questionnaires.
- Formatting Rules
- Font: Times New Roman 12pt, 1.5 line spacing.
- Margins: 2.5 cm (all sides).
- Equations/Tables/Figures:
- Numbered sequentially (e.g., Table 1, Figure 2).
- High-resolution (300 dpi for images).
- Cite sources if not original.
- Units: Use SI units exclusively.
- Submission Process
- Register/Login via JICE’s OJS system.
- Upload: Manuscript (DOCX).
6. Retraction Policy
Jurnal Ilmiah Cendekia Eksakta (JICE) follows the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines for retractions. A published article may be retracted if it contains:
- Serious errors that invalidate findings,
- Plagiarism or unethical research practices,
- Duplicate publication without proper attribution,
- Legal/ethical violations (e.g., data fabrication).
Retractions are clearly marked, with justification, and linked to the original article. Authors and institutions are notified.
