Peer Review Process

Jurnal Ilmiah Cendekia Eksakta (JICE)

1. Overview

JICE employs a double-blind peer review system to ensure impartiality and quality. Both reviewers remain anonymous throughout the process.

2. Review Stages

Stage 1: Initial Screening (1-2 weeks)

*Editorial Check:

    - Format compliance with JICE guidelines.

   - Plagiarism screening (<20% similarity).

   - Scope suitability for the journal.

*Decision:

   - Desk Reject (if non-compliant).

   - Proceed to Review (if compliant).

Stage 2: Peer Review (4-8 weeks)

*Reviewer Selection:

        - Minimum 2 reviewers per manuscript (experts in the field).

        - Reviewers must declare no conflicts of interest.

*Review Criteria:

       - Originality

       - Methodology validity

       - Result significance

       - Clarity and structure

*Reviewer Recommendations:

       - Accept

       - Minor Revisions

      - Major Revisions

      - Reject

Stage 3: Author Revision (2-4 weeks)

*Authors submit revised manuscripts with:

       - Point-by-point responses to reviewer comments.

      - Tracked changes (highlighting revisions).

*Re-evaluated by editors/reviewers.

Stage 4: Final Decision

*Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision based on:

         - Reviewer feedback.

         - Revision quality.

3. Reviewer Guidelines

        *Confidentiality: Manuscripts must not be shared/discussed.

        *Timeliness: Submit reviews within the deadline.

        *Constructive Feedback: Provide specific, actionable critiques.

4. Author Rights

        *May appeal decisions with new evidence.

        *Will receive anonymized reviewer comments.

5. Transparency

       *Reviewers acknowledge annually.
