Abstract
Stunting remains a major nutritional problem in Indonesia, impacting physical growth, cognitive development, and the quality of human resources. Although the prevalence of stunting in Semarang City is relatively low, West Semarang District, including Salamanmloyo Village, remains a priority area for treatment. Low public knowledge regarding balanced nutrition and high consumption of unhealthy foods are factors that potentially increase the risk of stunting. This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge of pregnant women, mothers of toddlers, and Posyandu cadres regarding stunting prevention through nutrition education, controlling unhealthy food consumption, and providing supplementary feeding (PMT). Implementation included interactive outreach on stunting, the importance of meeting nutritional needs in the First 1,000 Days of Life, appropriate breastfeeding and complementary foods, and limiting ultra-processed foods. The activity continued with the provision of PMT in the form of milk and bananas for toddlers and folic acid supplements for pregnant women at Posyandu RW 05, Salamanmloyo Village. The results showed high participant enthusiasm and increased understanding of the importance of balanced nutrition, healthy eating patterns, and stunting prevention from pregnancy to toddlerhood. The PMT program also supports meeting the nutritional needs of target groups and serves as an example of implementing a simple, nutritious menu based on readily available foods. This activity demonstrates that collaboration between universities, integrated health posts (Posyandu), and village governments can support sustainable stunting prevention efforts through nutrition education and interventions.
