Research Misconduct

Sosio Dialektika: Jurnal Ilmu Sosial Humaniora is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity, research ethics, and responsible scholarly publishing. The journal does not tolerate research misconduct, including plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, duplicate publication, inappropriate authorship practices, citation manipulation, or other violations of accepted standards of research integrity.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts accurately represent their research, data, methods, analysis, and findings. All sources must be appropriately acknowledged, and any required ethical approval, informed consent, or research permissions must be obtained and disclosed where applicable.

Editors and reviewers are expected to handle allegations of research misconduct fairly, confidentially, and objectively. If an allegation or indication of misconduct arises before or after publication, the editorial team will conduct an initial assessment and may request explanations, supporting documentation, or clarification from the authors. Where appropriate, the journal may consult relevant institutions, research ethics committees, or other competent authorities.

Depending on the nature and severity of the case, editorial actions may include rejection of a manuscript, correction of the published record, publication of an editorial notice, expression of concern, or retraction of an article. Decisions will be based on the available evidence and the need to protect the integrity of the scholarly record.

All parties involved will be given a fair opportunity to respond to relevant allegations. The journal will handle cases in accordance with applicable ethical standards and established scholarly publishing practices.

The primary objective of this policy is to prevent research misconduct, promote accountability, and preserve public trust in academic research and publication.
